Mark has been amazing with our dog Biscuit. She is very shy around strangers. It was clear when Mark met Biscuit that he is great with dogs and knows how to approach them even when they are shy. Mark has been very helpful and accommodating which is huge when you have a crazy schedule. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great walker!

Mark has been great at walking our dog Biscuit! He has great availability, responds quickly, and is available on short notice even on weekends. He also is happy to pet sit. Biscuit is shy and she warmed up to him even on the first visit and that is rare. Mark knows how to approach shy dogs well and even works on trying to get her to be better at walking on the leash. His rates are very reasonable as well! Highly recommend!

We’ve been working with Mark since November 2024, and he’s been really awesome. We were lucky to come across Mark’s name after bringing home our golden retriever puppy, Lemon, last fall. We were nervous about finding a puppy sitter, but Mark has been truly phenomenal. He is one of Lemon’s most favorite people, and she gets super excited when she sees him at the door. He takes her for long walks (and sends us sweet photos :), plays tug with her and even creates fun brain games (like hiding kibble for her to sniff out, which she loved!). He’s been great about reinforcing our training and often asks us if there’s anything we want to work on. Mark really treats Lemon like family. I’ve also been impressed by how attentive he is to her—he notices if she’s not feeling great or something seems off. That really makes me feel like she’s in great hands when we can’t be with her. You can just tell how much Mark loves dogs, and they seem to love him too. We really couldn’t be happier with him as Lemon’s sitter.

Mark is a true animal-lover! Over the years Mark has cared for indoor and outdoor cats, and dogs of all sizes, ages, and health conditions - from chihuahuas to dobermanns, and from 6 week old puppies to long-in-the-tooth seniors, and dogs with too much energy, social anxiety issues, and medical concerns. Mark treats all pets with respect and care and I would trust him completely to look after my animals. On top of all that, Mark is responsive, flexible, cheerful, and always happy to chat about your pets!

Mark and I rescued dogs together in Dallas, TX for over a year; I relied on him to care for a variety of dogs leaving right from one of the most populated shelters in TX until we could put them on transport to NYC. He took on puppies up to seniors, little terriers to Dobermans, sometimes sick or ones that recently had surgery. Mark is compassionate, careful, thoughtful, knowledgeable, and exceptionally dependable. No job is too big or too difficult. He did an amazing job with a litter of husky puppies, and I’ll forever be grateful that he hung in with those little monsters! Mark was an asset to our team and we miss him immensely!

We first heard about Mark, and Mark’s Happy Pets, when we saw his post on the neighborhood social media page where he introduced himself and his new business. We have two dogs…a 14-year-old rescue-mutt named Remmie, and a 5-year-old energetic rescue-mutt named Johnny. We used Mark initially to walk our dogs in a pinch, and were so thrilled with his communication, professionalism, and how wonderfully our dogs took to him, that he now walks Johnny twice weekly to give him some added mental and physical exercise that he craves. Mark not only walks Johnny regularly, but he has also made our experience of walking Johnny exponentially better. Johnny was very reactive on leash with other dogs, and walks were always a bit stressful. Mark works with Johnny on each walk, giving positive reinforcement and supporting him to behave better on leash. Mark also taught us ways to adjust what we were doing when walking Johnny to ensure consistency and continued improvement. We can now take Johnny to the local farmer’s market, to the dog park, and we enjoy our daily walks so much more. Each time that Mark walks Johnny, he sends a picture or two and gives us a report of how the walk was. We are so grateful for Mark’s services, expertise, and enthusiasm for his work. He genuinely cares about our dogs and they respond with matched excitement and affection for him.

Mark has been great with my very energetic dog Benny. He always responds quickly and is easy to work with for scheduling, even when I’ve had to make last minute changes. He also sends me updates and photos of my dog. I can tell that he really cares for animals and enjoys what he does, and I know he is someone that I can trust with my dog. I would definitely recommend his services!

We couldn’t recommend Mark more highly! He is incredibly timely, responsive, flexible, and sensitive to our dog Polly’s needs, and she absolutely adores him. He goes above and beyond to customize her walks and visits (even integrating training sessions) to ensure every experience is tailored to her personality and energy level. Polly always comes back from her sessions tired and happy, which is a high bar for an 11th month old golden retriever with boundless energy! His deep knowledge of and attunement to dogs is evident in everything he does, and his professionalism and reliability give us complete peace of mind. We’re so grateful to have found someone who cares for Polly as much as we do!

Mark has walked my dog several times, and it's been such a comfort knowing my pup is in excellent hands. He is punctual, friendly, and always prioritizes the needs of the dogs he cares for. My favorite part is seeing Mark take my dog to all his favorite spots in the neighborhood and receiving pictures of how happy he looks. Mark is fantastic, and I trust him completely with my dog!

I had Mark overnight pet sit for the first time. I was so relieved to have someone who knows what both professionalism and kindness are for this last pest sit. I highly recommend Mark! Mark took the time to get to know me and my dogs prior to their first outing. So when the pups had their first day with Mark I was comfortable they'd be in good hands. They are excited to see him, go on their walks, and get the petting they want! I can see their joy in all the pics Mark sends! Mark has also watched them overnight and that too has been top notch!

Mark is the best! He truly treats my dogs as if they were his own. He is always on time, takes care of all the little tasks my dogs require, and still takes time to give them pets and love after the walk. He also takes the best photos of them! It makes my day to get his updates and photos after the walks each day. I am so grateful for his attention to detail and how much he cares about the work he does. I never have to worry if they're getting the same care I would give. He also works on training with them too so that is a bonus (especially for my sassy Chiweenie who thinks he runs Roxborough). I know my pups love him and enjoy their afternoon walks very much! I highly recommend Mark!

Mark has been walking Darla (5 YO Border Collie Mix) since the beginning of 2025.  Darla is a typical Border Collie, and anyone that is in her world has to earn her trust.  Mark's approach with Darla was incredible.  He took his time, allowing her to come to him.  He didn't come into her space (very important for a BC - you have to be invited in!).  He allowed her space to get to know him on her terms. 

Mark literally sat on the floor in my living room letting her sniff for the first few visits before moving out to the backyard to play soccer, do some training...etc... then moving out to the front of the house sitting on the stoop - it was a few weeks before he got to take her on her first walk!  He never pressured her, got frustrated with her or tried to force her to do anything she felt uncomfortable with.  His approach was truly refreshing and very welcome.  6 months down the road, Darla sits by the window looking for Mark at the time she knows he's due to take her out.

As an owner, I get lots of beautiful pictures and a summary of every walk every day.  Seeing her out, enjoying her walk with a big smile on her face is everything for me.  She is always super excited to see him and goes out for her walk without a care in the world.  Darla completely adores Mark and I feel incredibly lucky to have found him.  I would highly recommend Mark to anyone who is looking for a dogwalker - you won't regret it.

We HIGHLY recommend Mark! From the moment we met him, it was clear that Mark has a natural gift and is great with animals. Our dog Rocky wags his tail when we say, "Mark is coming today!" We hire Mark a few times a month to walk Rocky when we have work obligations, and we couldn't be happier with his services. We're fortunate to live near a Wissahickon Park entrance, and Mark takes Rocky for one-hour walks there. When Rocky comes back from a walk with Mark, he is so happy and clearly got great exercise (a must for Rocky, who is a high-energy Australian cattle dog and lab mix). Mark's passion for animals is clear, and he's great at helping Rocky focus and calm down when needed. Mark goes beyond "walking the dog." We love that he has connected with Rocky and built a bond.
