Training
Positive reinforcement training is essential for achieving the best possible relationship between you and your pet. Proper training can help prevent or remedy all types of challenging behaviors. In addition, positive reinforcement can help your pet become more confident, engaged with you, and develop behaviors and "tricks" you never thought possible!
Dog Walking
My private one-on-one dog walking service is designed to provide your furry family member(s) with the appropriate level of exercise, social interaction, and mental stimulation they need to stay Happy and healthy!
I can also work on reinforcing the dog's recall and other basic cues, and reduce challenging behaviors like leash aggression and pulling.
Pet Sitting
My pet sitting is tailored to meet the specific needs of your dog and cat. If you are busy or need to go out, I have you covered for whatever your pet requires such as playtime, feeding, a walk, love and attention, and medication administration. About Me
Dr. Mark Kinkema, PhD
Owner, Trainer, and Pet Carer
I am passionate about building stronger and happier relationships between people and their pets through the use of positive reinforcement training. I am expanding my expertise in positive reinforcement animal training through the Karen Pryor Academy, a globally recognized standard of excellence in force-free, science-based training approaches. I am both a PhD scientist and animal trainer who utilizes scientifically-proven, positive reinforcement approaches to effectively prevent or manage behavioral challenges, increase your pet's well being, and enhance the relationship between you and your pet. I work daily on training my own dog Charlie and cat Pickles, which is helping to strengthen our bond, develop beneficial behaviors, and curb challenging behaviors such as leash anxiety. And you should see how much Charlie and Pickles enjoy our training sessions!

Dogs and cats have always been an integral part of our family. In addition, I have volunteered for years at local animal shelters and rescue organizations to help care for animals in need and to serve as a foster parent. I will bring this same level of compassion and dedication when training and caring for your beloved pet. The extensive experience that I have acquired by working with my own pets, strays, and abandoned animals of all sizes and breeds will enable me to provide excellent care for your dog or cat.

I decided to pursue my passion for animals and start a pet care business after having a career as a scientist in both Australia and the US.

Now I look forward to working closely with each of my clients to provide them with all the training and support they need for their Happy Pets!
